As I began to do my hair in front of the mirror, I saw a small yet noticeable blemish in the reflection. Was it on me or just a part of the mirror? The question seemed symbolic of a deeper meaning in life. As we are continually immersed in unending dimensions of beauty, we find our attention drawn to even the most minuscule inconsistencies, and we regard them worthy of our concern. In that moment, I extinguished my cigarette, wondering from where it came, since I never smoke. I love my nails.
