Having lived in Brooklyn, NY I was thrilled to find a barbershop that has the atmospher of Brooklyn barbershops.
However the key element of any atmosphere is lighting.
You have the right lighting fixtures but the wrong bulbs. The light should be soft because you will get:
- clients will see their cuts in a more flattering light, be happier and want to come back.
- your atmosphere will seem more inviting
- your intention of being like popular barbershops in the US and UK, will be achieved, as that those places would never put bright white lightbulbs in their shops. They would go out of business if they did.
Note:
when I first came to your Blues Barber you had soft lights, it was great, then later some of the lights were bright white, now they are all bright white.
I like my barber, but I am tempted to go to another shop, because the light is horrible and makes everyone look horrible, pasty, drab shadows, and turns the environment into an ugly blue like a morgue where dead people are kept before burial.
Not the vibe I think you are looking for..... especially for a 10 euro change of getting soft warm light bulbs, not the white ones
